The importance of being a Hero locksmith

Imagine to yourself a winter’s day. Not just any winter day – the kind that grabs you by the face and bites your cheeks and nose.
The air is so cold it hurts your nostrils when you breathe in, makes you want to hold your breath just to avoid the sting. Sounds familiar? It does if you ever lived in Friendly Manitoba.
As an immigrant coming from a hot as hell place, the harsh Manitoba winter is a big struggle once you have gotten over the excitement of dancing in the first snow and admiring its majestic beauty.

But I digress.

On a seemingly normal winter morning but a harsh one non the less a family woke up and started getting ready for the day ahead. Mom and dad were off to work, 3 kids were off to school.

Around 3:30 pm mother’s phone rings. It was a number she did not recognize but she picked up, nevertheless.

The eldest daughter was on the line (“the responsible one” as I call her in my head. If you know, you know)

“Mom, Mom, Mom”

Mom was immediately alarmed; the responsible one was calling from an unknown number & sounded distressed.

“I forgot the keys to the house & we can’t get inside. I’m calling from the neighbour’s house. Can you come right away?”

So much for being responsible, right?

Mom being Mom, immediately picked up her belongings & rushed off to let the manger know she has a family emergency & she needed to leave right away.

There is a bit of a drive, but mom was not panicking. The neighbour is sure to invite them to wait inside the house until the mom arrivers, right? Its winter, not any winter, a Manitoba winter, duh.

Wrong!

Mom gets there and finds the kids sitting on the front steps of the house waiting for her to arrive & unlock the door.

Mom was horrified that the kids had to wait out in the dreadful cold.

That night, during dinner, mom & dad racked their brains on how to avoid this from ever happening again since apparently the “responsible one” is not all that responsible after all.

What preventive measures can they take to ensure their home is secured, their children are safe, and the tale of lost house keys will become a distant memory, one that will not repeat?

They come up with a plan.

That very day, dad called a reliable local locksmith to come over and install a smart lock with keyless entry.
